SUMMARY

We are seeking a proactive and inquisitive Data Analyst who thrives on transforming raw data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will not only analyze and report but will actively design new analytical frameworks that shape business decisions. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, critical thinking, and curiosity using Large Language Models (LLMs), robust statistical methods, and compelling visualizations to drive clarity and decision-making across teams.

DESCRIPTION

    Proactive Insight Generation:

    • Anticipate analytical needs before they’re requested; identify emerging business questions and design data solutions that address them.
    • Craft and communicate insights that influence strategic and operational decisions.

    Data Analysis & Modeling

    • Perform descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analysis using advanced statistical techniques.
    • Apply regression, ANOVA, hypothesis testing, and time-series methods to extract meaning from complex datasets.
    • Collaborate with teams to translate findings into measurable business outcomes.

    LLM & AI-Driven Analytics:

    • Leverage Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, or local fine-tuned LLMs) for automating insight generation, summarization, and pattern detection.
    • Contribute to building or prompting analytical agents that streamline decision workflows.

    Programming Skills:

    • Should be able to write code in multiple programming languages such as Python, R, Scala and anything else as needed.
    • Should have sufficient knowledge of all popular packages and libraries used to model and analyze data.
    • Must have a sound working knowledge of SQL/NoSql databases and SQL language.
    • Some knowledge of data engineering is a must.
    • Some experience of big data tech stacks is a must.

    Visualization & Storytelling:

    • Create intuitive, data-driven dashboards and reports using different tools
    • Present insights visually and narratively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    Data Governance & Collaboration:

    • Work with engineering and product teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability.
    • Document methodologies, maintain reproducible analyses, and promote data literacy across teams.
JOB SPECIFICATION
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within technology or product-driven organizations.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, numpy, statsmodels), or R.
    • Proven ability to communicate complex findings in a clear, concise, and actionable way.
    • Familiarity with prompt engineering, data augmentation, or LLM-based analysis workflows is a plus.
    • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) and data visualization best practices.
    • Sound understanding of statistical inference, probability, and data-driven experimentation (A/B testing).

    Core Competencies

    Proactive Thinker:

    • Seeks opportunities to uncover unseen insights before being asked

    Analytical Storyteller:

    • Connects data with narratives that drive strategy.

    Technically Fluent:

    • Balances statistical rigor with modern AI-assisted analysis.

    • Works cross-functionally to ensure insights are implemented effectively.

    Continuous Learner:

    • Keeps up with emerging tools in AI, analytics, and visualization

    Preferred Add-ons

    • Experience integrating LLMs into data workflows (e.g., generating SQL queries, summarizing results).
    • Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Exposure to natural language analytics or RAG-based (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
