SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects to design, manage, and optimize our database systems. As a key member of the IT Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our databases remain secure, reliable, and high-performing.

Your day to day responsibilities will include monitoring database health, troubleshooting issues, supporting development teams with database-related needs, and implementing best practices for performance, scalability, and security

DESCRIPTION

• Developing, enforcing, and documenting database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Performing database parameter tuning to achieve optimal performance.
• Optimizing SQL queries and ensuring efficient execution.
• Continuously monitoring database performance and proactively identifying issues.
• Investigating and resolving user-reported database errors in a timely manner.
• Safeguarding databases against security threats and unauthorized access.
• Implementing and maintaining robust backup and recovery strategies.
• Recommending and executing improvements for database reliability, protection, and maintenance.
• Designing and building databases with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and stability.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience deploying and supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL in highly available, scalable environments.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with deep expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable in carrying out responsibilities.
